GARY Miller has left Ross County to join St Johnstone.

The 25-year-old defender has agreed a deal with the Scottish Premier League club, after five years with the Staggies.

Miller was offered a contract extension at Victoria Park because his current deal expires next week, but turned down the chance to feature in County’s debut SPL campaign.

County manager Derek Adams yesterday warned deals for out of contract players would be reviewed next week.

"I would like to thank Ross County and Staggies supporters," he said. "I had a great five years at the club and couldn’t praise either of them any higher!

"It is a great club with great fans.

"I’m glad to have sorted my future out and I am happy to have signed for St Johnstone.

"I’m looking forward to the start of the new season!"

Miller made 43 appearances during the club’s First Division championship winning season.

He is the first player to leave the club since they were promoted to the top flight.

St Johnstone will compete in the Europa League next season.
