Defender Danny Devine says Inverness Caley Thistle have to accept criticism for bad run
Danny Devine says Inverness Caledonian Thistle have to accept criticism when they go on long winless runs.
Inverness were eight matches without a win before yesterday’s Championship clash against Cove Rangers at the Caledonian Stadium
It has been a hard two months for Inverness, who had not won a match in the Championship since Saturday, October 15.
Devine says when things are not going well, they must accept they will be questioned about their performances.
“That’s football - when you’re not playing well or winning games, you will get criticised. The boys know that. We’ve had it in the past and I’m sure we will have it in the future.
“The sooner we can stop the rot and put it right, the better. The boys who played at Partick are desperate to get out there and show the fans we care. We really want to pick up three points.”

Devine suffered an injury before the match with Partick Thistle on Friday, December 23, where Inverness were hammered 5-1 at Firhill.
Devine hoped it was not too serious and that he would be back in action quickly.
“I had a groin niggle, which I picked up during the week before the Partick game.
“I managed to do a little bit on Wednesday and Thursday.
“I’m desperate to get back playing and to help the team.
“It was a young team against Partick Thistle, especially the back four, so the more experience we can get in the side right now the better.
“We’re not in the best of runs right now and I think experience will help.”
Speaking about the result against Partick Thistle before Christmas, he said: “The boys have spoken amongst one another and we know it was nowhere near good enough for this club.
“We desperately want to put it right.”
