Billy Dodds signs contract extension to remain Inverness Caley Thistle head coach after leading team to Scottish Cup final
Billy Dodds will stay in charge of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, the club have confirmed.
The head coach has signed a two-year extension to his contract, which had been due to expire this summer.
Dodds originally joined the club as assistant manager to interim boss Neil McCann when former manager John Robertson went on compassionate leave towards the end of the 2020/21 season.
That summer, he was appointed head coach, with McCann opting against taking the role full time and Robertson moving upstairs into a sporting director role.
In his first campaign as head coach at ICT, Dodds led Caley Thistle into the play-offs, which ended in heartbreak as the team lost out to St Johnstone – despite the scores being level with 45 minutes of the second leg remaining.
Last season Dodds saw the squad struck by an unprecedented level of injuries to almost the entire team, but saw the team valiantly make a late push for the play-offs – only to miss out on the final day of the season.

The Scottish Cup, meanwhile, provided plenty of excitement as Inverness reached their second ever final.
At Hampden, there could be no accusation that ICT failed to do themselves justice as they battled Celtic until the very end, eventually losing 3-1.
