Inverness Caledonian Thistle forced to share points with Stenhousemuir after draw - head coach says players are angry but not down
Head coach Scott Kellacher said his players were ‘angry but not down’ after full time as Inverness Caledonian Thistle were unable to hold out for victory in a 1-1 draw at Stenhousemuir in their League One clash.
Inverness took the lead early in the second half through Billy Mckay, but Sam Fisher scored in the third minute of injury time to rescue a point for the hosts.
Caley Thistle’s failure to win saw their gap over Annan Athletic who are in ninth place and currently in the relegation play-off zone, reduce to one point after they hammered champions Arbroath 5-1 at Galabank.
Head coach Scott Kellacher said while he thought his team played well, said his players were angry about the result.
He said: “I am gutted about that one.
“In the last 10 minutes they got a wee bit deeper and that is understandable as they are the team at home and are trying to get something.

“In the dying minutes they get a free kick wide and it is a ball in the box we don’t defend. It is hard one to take to be honest.
“I thought we deserved to win the game over the piece, but they put on a bit of pressure and there was a ball into the box. That is the hard part to take.
The players are not down, but they are angry, because they know they can get more.”
“This is a hard place to come, they are in the play-offs and want to stay there, we knew it was going to be a hard game.”
Caley Thistle’s fate to avoid the relegation play-off zone remains in their own hands with two games to go and Kellacher says they will be preparing themselves to ensure they stay in League One next season.
He said: “We have two hard games coming up with Arbroath at home and Montrose away and we will make sure we are prepared for that.”
Goalkeeper Marcus Gill arrived on an emergency loan deal from Celtic with the status of Musa Dibaga’s hamstring injury still unknown.
Kellacher was impressed with how Gill played against Stenhousemuir.
He said: “He did great as he has not played at this level before.
“He pulled off a good save and his handling was good.”
