Preliminary round of Highland Amateur Cup is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday
The biggest amateur football competition in the north kicks off tonight as the Highland Amateur Cup preliminary rounds take place this weekend.
Six matches are taking place in the South Section Preliminary with one match being played on Friday.
Maryburgh will begin their quest to win the competition for the first time in 45 years when they are to host Auctioneers tonight with kick-off at 6.30pm.
The four other South Section preliminary matches are taking place tomorrow afternoon. Auldearn make their debut in the competition and will tae on Fort William Reserves.
Ardersier also hope to progress into the next round when they face North West Skye.
Highland are set to face Tomatin United and Kyleakin are taking on Ferry United.

In the North Section, Inver will be looking to progress into the first round of the competition when they travel to Caithness tomorrow to face Thurso Swifts at 3pm.
Elsewhere, Embo FC face Helmsdale United, Golspie Stafford take on John O' Groats, High Ormlie Hotspurs face Castletown and Staxigoe United v Keiss.

In IDFA Division One this week, Tomatin United are top of Division One after a 2-1 win at Gellions.
Liam Mudie gave United the lead at half time.
Ronan Cousins equalised in the second half for Gellions but Ryan Ingram scored the winner for Tomatin.
They are ahead only on goals scored with Culbokie second on maximum points with a 3-0 win over Gilham Flooring.
Callum Murray scored a hat-trick for the Ross-shire outfit.
Clachnacuddin Youth ran riot with a 7-0 win over CK FC with Shaun Golden scoring five goals along with strikes with Ross Peters and James Macleod.
Hill Rovers proved too good for Kirkhill with a 4-1 win.
Drakies pulled off an impressive 2-1 win at Muir of Ord with Willem Stewart and Robbie Fyfe scoring the goals to give them the win.
In Division Two, Auldearn beat Slackbuie Rovers 3-1 thanks to a Shaun Young double and Gavin Chisholm finding the net.
Ferry United beat Tornagrain 3-0 with Kai Reid scoring twice and Ross Macrae also finding the net. Grahams Academicals beat Glenurquhart 6-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Ruaridh Donald with goals also from David Fleming, Cruz Hastings and Ewan McArthur.
