Dave Carson was happy with how his Highland squad trained this week ahead of the challenge of Whitecraigs tomorrow.

Highland’s head coach had previously spoken about wanting to work on defence to negate the scoring threat of Whitecraigs, who have scored 99 points in the last two weeks.

And he says that the numbers that came down to training this week gave them the ideal preparation.

“It was a good session on Tuesday,” Carson said.

“We had big numbers down so we were able to have a full on game with 15 on both sides for a good work out in defence for the firsts and the seconds."
