The club have moved to Cromal Park from their previous home of Pavilion Park at Muir of Ord for the new campaign.

And they are confident of christening their new home with a victory after grabbing a point at champions Golspie Sutherland in an incredible 4–4 draw last weekend.

Athletic looked like causing a major shock when they were 4–2 up with seven minutes remaining, but Golspie fought back to claim a point in the closing stages.

Manager Jason Golabek was disappointed his team could not hold on for victory. But before the game, he said he would have been delighted with a point at the champions.

Now he is looking for his team to continue their ruthlessness in front of goal against Orkney.

“I was a wee bit disappointed we didn’t win at Golspie,” said Golabek.

“But in another way, before the game I would have taken a point.

“We were at it from the first whistle, we never stopped and we kept right at them.

“The character to come from 2–1 down to go 4–2 up was an emotional rollercoaster.

“I struggled to sleep afterwards thinking could we have done things differently?

“But not many teams get a point at Golspie and I was over the moon with the energy I saw.

“They are trying to buy into what we want them to do as a club.

“Saturday is the same game plan and if the boys can produce another performance like they did last weekend, I see no problem why they can’t win.”

New signing Kieran Duffty and Liam Smith are out of tomorrow’s game due to family commitments.

But Harry Shewan will return to the squad with new signing Dominic Macaulay set to debut.
