Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed two of their players have gone on loan to Highland League club Forres Mechanics.

Defenders Sam Nixon and Jack Walker have agreed short term deals to play temporarily at Mosset Park.

The duo will go on loan until at least January 4 as they look for first team experience.

Both men, who have been at the club since they were nine, played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the penalty shoot-out defeat against Nairn County at Station Park on Wednesday night.

The pair along with Calum Macleod, signed modern apprenticeship deals with Inverness back in August.

Forres Mechanics have also signed goalkeeper Corey Patterson from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

In addition, striker Calum Mackay has joined Nairn County on loan.
