Inverness Caledonian Thistle in search for new directors as losses slashed
INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle are looking to appoint at least two new directors to the club as it looks to progress its ambitious plans.
Chief executive officer Scot Gardiner says they are looking to inject new blood into the club and help take Inverness to a higher level.
It has been reported that Inverness suffered a loss before tax of £235,282 for the year ended May 31, 2021, but has slashed losses drastically in recent years, which stood at £892,000 in the 2018/19 season.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle missed out on promotion to the Champion-ship this season after losing the play-off final.
But in a club statement, Gardiner says they are looking for new directors to come on board in what he says has never been a better time to be part of Caley Thistle.
He said: “The chairman and the board of directors have been incredibly supportive and creative in and around the club throughout what has been an extremely challenging time and environment due to the pandemic,” he said.

“Especially with all the financial pressures it brought.
“We are now formally looking to inject new blood and even more business acumen onto the board.
“As these are exciting times for the club we feel there will never be a better time for someone to come onto the board to help us to take the club to a higher level.
“Accordingly we are actively seeking to appoint at least two new directors to the club board.”
Gardiner also said in his statement that the club’s relationship with main sponsors Intelligent Land Investments Group has proven beneficial.
He says the partnership will set the club on a firm financial footing for the future.
“The first phase of our already successful partnership with Intelligent Land Investments Group is close to coming to fruition,” he said.
“This will give us a financial platform unlike any we have had before.
“We hope to be able to announce a second phase of this genuine partnership soon.
“We cannot emphasise enough how good our relationship is with ILI Group, a company we have become warm friends with.”
