It is providing sponsorship to the primary one to three team at North Kessock Primary School to fund football strips to help their goal of getting children involved in sport.

The school’s team will wear the strips when they play in matches and tournaments.

The kids take part in training sessions every weekend with the help of their parents who give up their time to volunteer as coaches to prepare for football tournaments held at Bught Park and beyond.

All training is arranged at no cost for the families, making it available to everyone without anyone having to worry financially.

Parent and football coach for North Kessock Primary School James Dewhurst says everyone is grateful for the help and support they have received from the Inverness Courier.

He says with the help of their sponsorship, they can continue to provide opportunities for young kids at the primary school to get involved in football.

He said: "We want to thank The Inverness Courier for their on-going support.

“Whilst we receive support from Active Schools for the pitch rental, we have to fund these strips ourselves through sponsorship. “Our primary aims are to get kids outside and active, to be inclusive for the kids and keep the training free, so this sponsorship is invaluable for us to achieve that."
