Inverness Athletic duo named two of 11 players in North Caledonian League team of the year - Players from Golspie Sutherland, Halkirk United, Invergordon and St Duthus also named
TWO Inverness Athletic players have been named in the North Caledonian League team of the season.
Midfielder Sam Mackay and forward Russell MacIntyre were both named in the top XI for the 2024/25 campaign.
Five of the league’s 12 clubs were represented in the North Caledonian League’s top team.
Champions Invergordon saw defender Blair Morrison, North Caledonian League player of the year midfielder James Ross and forward Calum Brown, who was the league top scorer and young player of the year were named.
Halkirk United had three players named in the team of the year. They included goalkeeper Kieran Macleod, left-back Innes Mackintosh and midfielder James Mackintosh.
St Duthus duo, defender Jamie Skinner and forward Finn As-Chainey, along with midfielder Cameron Sutherland from Golspie Sutherland were named in the team of the year.

The North Caledonian League team of the year was voted by managers, coaches, and committee members from all 12 member clubs, following nominations from each side for a goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forward.
Inverness Athletic won a trophy for the first time in their history as a North Caledonian League club when they won the Football Times Cup in December.
Invergordon retained the North Caledonian League title becoming champions for the third time in four years. They won 20 of their 22 matches, only dropping five points in the entire campaign.
Invergordon also celebrated success winning the North Caledonian Cup against Golspie Sutherland in the final held on Saturday.
