Loch Ness stronger than ever with new additions of Highland League experience
LOCH Ness manager Shane Carling says they are going into the North Caledonian League season with their strongest ever squad as they face Clachnacuddin A at Grant Street Park tomorrow afternoon.
Last season’s runners-up have boosted their squad with Highland League experience who include former Buckie Thistle, Clachnacuddin and Strathspey Thistle midfielder James Lee Fraser.
Former Strathspey Thistle defender Christopher Harris has also joined the club along with winger Scott Morrison who left Clachnacuddin this summer and former Forres Mechanics winger Allan Macphee.
Goalkeeper Lewis Munro has also joined Loch Ness from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Carling says he is also looking at bringing in more additions to the squad as they bid to go one better than last season and win the title.
“Bringing in guys like these will bring our squad a lot of experience,” he said.

“Hopefully after this weekend I could have another two boys on board.
“We are always looking to strengthen our squad, last year we only had one goalkeeper, but now we have three battling it out to start.
“We have let some players go from last season, but we are definitely a stronger squad this season.
“Last season we were looking to finish top four and we overachieved finishing in second place and being one game away from winning the league.
“We have set our sights high, we want to get to a cup final and certainly compete for the league which has become a lot tougher this season.”
Only three matches are taking place in the North Caledonian League as Inverness Athletic cross the Pentland Firth tomorrow to face Orkney and Nairn County A host Bonar Bridge.
In the Football Times Cup, Alness face St Duthus and Halkirk United face Thurso.
