Inverness Caledonian Thistle suffer major blow as striker on loan from Aberdeen is ruled out for rest of the season with injury
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have been rocked by the news that striker Alfie Bavidge is out of the rest of the season with injury.
The striker, who was on loan from Aberdeen, suffered a hamstring injury in the 4-1 win over Stenhousemuir earlier this month.
The 18-year-old underwent a scan towards the end of last week and it has now been reported that he will not feature for Inverness again this campaign.
It will come as a massive blow for Inverness with Bavidge proving to be a real threat in front of goal, scoring six times in 10 appearances since arriving during the January transfer window.
Inverness are in eighth place in League One and only above the relegation zone on goal difference after suffering a 4-1 hammering to Queen of the South on Saturday.
Speaking after the match last weekend, head coach Scott Kellacher said he was not happy with his team’s performance in Dumfries, describing some of the goals they conceded as criminal.
