Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager not concerned about top four finish as avoiding relegation and staying in League One is main priority
HEAD coach Scott Kellacher is only focussed on keeping Inverness Caledonian Thistle in League One after hopes of a top-four finish and a possible promotion play-off appear to be fading.
Only one point in their last two matches against Annan Athletic and Alloa Athletic has seen Inverness fall eight points adrift of the Championship play-off zone with six games remaining.
Meanwhile, Inverness remain three points outside the relegation zone in eighth place and have a vastly superior goal difference compared to Annan.
Kellacher says his main target is ensuring Inverness remain outside of the bottom two for the rest of the season and pick up points at Queen of the South on Saturday.
He says any possibility of promotion to the Championship this season is not crossing his mind.
He said: "I won't even entertain top four talk.

"Other people have got excited and carried away, which they are entitled to.
"It's my job to be realistic and, knowing what lies ahead with injuries and suspensions being picked up, it becomes a bit more difficult.
"It will be a hard run-in - every game is hard. Staying in League One is my main focus.
"If you'd been offered that last October, given the position we were in and the 15-point deduction, we'd taken taken it.
"I've tried to keep everyone's feet on the ground. Let's not get carried away. We know how hard it is.
"In the last two weeks, against Annan and Alloa, we've been on top, yet come away with one point. That's frustrating and that can happen in football.
"It's important we stay focused, and our focus is staying in the league.”
Inverness head to Dumfries hoping to have more clarity about the situation over striker Alfie Bavidge who was due to undergo a scan on Thursday.
The striker on loan from Aberdeen, limped off with an injury in the 4-1 win over Stenhousemuir earlier this month and has not played since.
Kellacher was waiting to hear when Bavidge would be in a position to return to action.
He said: "We're waiting for his scan to come back today, and we should hopefully be clearer.
"We're trying to use the squad as best we can at the minute. Everyone will be getting used.
"We are getting down to the bare bones. Other clubs are having those problems as well. We won't feel sorry for ourselves. Other boys need to step in and do the business when called upon. “
Remi Savage is suspended for tomorrow’s match after being sent off in the 1-1 draw against Alloa last Saturday.
