Nairn St Ninian aiming to send message with a result against Hermes
Nairn St Ninian manager Mike Hendry is expecting another backs to the wall job against North Super League title challengers Hermes when the two teams meet at The Showfield tomorrow.
Nairn pushed league leaders Culter all the way last week in a 2–1 defeat, but were forced to defend for large parts of the game with few chances up front.
Hermes are second in the table on goal difference having scored five goals fewer than Culter.
Hendry says his players are capable of picking up points against the Aberdeen outfit, but says it will be a tough afternoon for his team.
“Hermes are a really strong side,” said Hendry.
“They are big and physical and it will take a lot of work from us.

“We have players out and it could be at least three to four weeks before any of them come back.
“We will have to go again with what we have and try to grind out a result somehow.
“That is the way things are for us just now where we have to grind out results with our fixtures.
“But we have a chance against them and they won’t get things easy.”
Players missing for Nairn St Ninian tomorrow include Charlie Fonweban, Jack Maclean and Sam Walker with a couple others also expected to be out.
With mostly attacking players out injured, Hendry says it is having an impact on what they are doing up front.
Speaking about their performance against Culter, Hendry said: “I felt that we were lacking up top.
“It is the same in the wide areas, we don’t seem to have anything going forward.
“There is a lot of work rate, but that is just about it at the moment.
“We don’t seem to have the cutting edge.
“I have been chopping and changing formations with different people the last couple of weeks, but it doesn’t seem to work.
“Four regular starters in the forward area are missing and it has been murder for us.
“But the boys are giving me everything they’ve got just now, it is just the attacking side of things where we are off at the moment.”
