Inverness hosts over 760 pupils to compete in McRobert Cup at Torvean Park in one of the biggest school athletics events in the Highlands.
YOUNG athletes were put through their paces as they competed in one of the biggest school athletics events in the Highlands.
Over 760 children competed at the McRobert Cup as pupils from primary schools based in Inverness and surrounding areas ran at Torvean Park on Wednesday morning.
The races were divided into individual competitions for Primary Four and Five age groups as well as Primary Six and Seven age groups.
In the Primary 4/5 girls race, Mirabelle Tremarco of Milton of Leys was crowned champion with Ella Milton of Balloch in second place and Scarlet Mackenzie of Cauldeen in third place.
In the Primary 4/5 boys race, Maverick Souter from Holm took gold, with Calum Morrison from Lochardil taking silver and Oscar Draper from Cradlehall taking bronze.
In the Primary 6/7 girls race, Kyla Grant of Milton of Leys claimed victory with Iyla Souter of Holm second and Anwen Morley of Crown in third place.
In the Primary 6/7 boys race, Riley Davidson from Drakies took gold, with Sebastian Isle of Cawdor in second place and Archie Considine taking bronze.
In the team competitions, Glenurquhart Primary School won the Primary 4/5 Girls Section One competition with Farr second and Tomnacross third.
In the Section Two competition, Drakies were first with Balloch second and Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis in third.
In Primary 4/5 Boys Section One - Glenurquhart claimed first place, with Tomnacross second and Kirkhill third.
In Section Two, Lochardil were first with Balloch second and Crown third.
In Primary 6/7 Section One Girls, Tomnacross was first with Kirkhill second and Glenurquhart third.
In Section Two Girls, Holm were first with Crown second and Inshes in third.
In Primary 6/7 Section One boys, Cawdor were first with Glenurquhart second and Tomnacross third.
In Section Two Boys, Drakies were first with Crown second and Lochardil third.
