Inverness Fours Darts Championship sees Portland A claim title
PORTLAND A came out on top as they claimed victory in the Inverness Fours Championship at the Raigmore Hotel.
The quartet of Nicky Denoon, James Fraser, Richie Lewis and Kevin MacGregor proved too good for the rest of the field of 15 entries.
In the final, they defeated the Tarradale and Innes Power team of Kevin Manson, Luke Manson, Craig Morrison and Blair Morrison.
Reaching the semi finals were the East End Arrows team of Nigel McEwan, Allan Fraser, Mark Fraser and Jamie Fraser along with the Raigmore Arrows team of John Bremner, Connor Jones, Martin Macleod and Wayne Ridgers.
There was also success for Nicky Denoon from Portland A when he was called up to the Scotland squad which will compete at the British International which take place between Friday, March 28 and Sunday, March at Chapel St Leonards, Lincolnshire.
He has previously represented Scotland at the British Internationals at past tournaments.
Last year, Denoon won the Donny Clark Memorial Handicap Singles.
He also won a Scottish tour title at Drumchapel last year.
