A GROUP of expatriate supporters are making progress in talks with Caley Thistle — including reaching an agreement in principle with club president David Sutherland in relation to his company’s shares.

The five-strong party — who all have homes in Inverness but are based around the world — have come together to form an investment company called Muirfield Mills.

They expect to have to wait until after the Scottish Premier League club’s annual general meeting on 22nd September before finding out if their substantial six-figure investment has been accepted by the club’s board.

But separate discussions with the club’s majority shareholder, Sutherland, head of the Tulloch Group, are taking shape.
