The Scottish Junior Football Association voted unanimously to suspend junior football until January 31.
The league's management committee says the suspension includes training and the playing of friendly matches.
The announcement comes three days after North Junior Region Football Association club Nairn St Ninian announced they will not take part in matches and training until lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
A review of this will take place on Monday, January 25. Junior football teams still in the Scottish Cup have been given special dispensation to play.
On Wednesday, the North Caledonian Football Association announced its season was suspended until Saturday, February 6.
