Entertaining draw sees Inverness Caley Thistle pick up a point against Championship leaders Queen's Park.

Both Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Queen's Park played out an entertaining 0–0 draw in the Highland capital.

Each side had a multitude of chances to break the deadlock, but when the full time whistle went there was still nothing to separate the teams.

Caley Thistle started the game on the front foot, passing nicely and getting the ball forward quickly.

Three times Mark Ridgers launched the ball into space to try and utilise the pace of Jay Henderson and Daniel MacKay, but neither man was able to find the back of the net.

Dom Thomas did force a save out of Ridgers, but Inverness quickly followed with the best chance of the half.

Billy Mckay managed to direct the ball goalwards with a header, and it looked destined for the back of the net before Calum Ferrie scooped it away from danger.

Queen's Park grew into the game more as the half developed, though, and Jake Davidson had a golden opportunity to open the scoring with a header from six yards out – although he may have been caught by surprise that the ball reached him in the first place, as Ridgers again kept it out.

Both sides continued to go in search of a breakthrough after the restart.

Mckay was denied by Ferrie after being slipped through by Aaron Doran, with the away goalkeeper making a good stop with his feet.

Grant Savoury then had the time and space to turn and shoot inside the Caley Thistle box, but saw Danny Devine put his body on the line to make a vital block.

A similar move saw Simon Murray get the chance to shoot, but again Devine was there to keep the ball out of ICT's goal.

Ben Woods was thrown on with around 20 minutes left to make his Inverness debut, part of a double substitution with Steven Boyd as Billy Dodds tried to find a route to victory.

It nearly paid off immediately, as Boyd won the ball back inside the final third before passing to Mckay in acres of space – only for the attacker to shoot straight into the hands of Ferrie.

Lee Kilday was the next to have a chance to break the deadlock, as Sean Welsh miscued a clearance allowing him to have a snapshot on the turn. The defender's effort, though, went over the bar.

As the back and forth contest drew to a close, Inverness would have one more chance when Lewis Nicolson got the chance to volley at goal, but once again Ferrie was equal to the effort as the game finished goalless.
