Table tennis set to serve first session
Stephen Gertsen is forming a table tennis club in Inverness that he hopes can appeal to all the family.
The former Welsh international player and current Scotland national team coach has been running monthly sessions at Inverness Tennis and Squash Club for most of the year.
Now he is looking to bring the sport to the next level in the Highlands by starting a club that will run weekly sessions at Inverness High School, starting on September 25 at 5pm.
Gertsen says that it will be open to people of all abilities and ages, but if people want to make a concerted effort to improve their game then they can do that too.
“You can get coaching off me, I’ll be there most weeks, but we also want it to be quite relaxed with a community feel,” he explained.
