Since arriving on loan from Aberdeen this month, he has scored in all three matches that he has played for the club.

It includes scoring on his debut in the 2-0 win against Dumbarton getting his second against Annan Athletic in a 3-0 win, and also finding the net in the 3-2 defeat at Queen of the South on Tuesday night.

Preparing to head to Alloa Athletic on Saturday afternoon, Bavidge is keen to maintain his 100 per cent games to goal ratio.

He said: "I've been loving every bit of being here so far.

"I've been playing regular football, and I want to keep doing what I'd doing and see where that takes me.

"It's been a really good start. I just want to do my best for the team.

"If I could keep that up, it would be brilliant, but there will be blips along the way. It's just about how I react to those blips.”

Bavidge arrived from Aberdeen on loan this month after spending the first half of the season with Ayr United who are currently in second place in the Championship.

He was recalled from Somerset Park by the Dons and sent to the Caledonian Stadium in a bid for more first team experience.

He says that he has learned a lot from both loan experiences this season as he looks to develop as a player.

He said: "Ayr was a tough one for me. I'm obviously learning different things.

"That was in the Championship, and I was playing against really good players, so I did learn a lot from my time at Ayr.

"I'm now learning different sides to the game here and I'm playing that bit more. Both loans moves have offered benefits to me.

"I was just eager to go and play games. The manager has taken me here and put trust in me to play games. I'm happy I can repay him so far.

"It won't mean anything if I go on and be poor for the rest of the season. I've got to keep my form up for as long as I can.

"I still keep in contact with Aberdeen. They're watching the games, so it's good to maintain that connection.”

Bavidge arrived on loan from Aberdeen along with midfielder Alfie Stewart, who is also at Inverness until the end of the season.

Inverness remain four points from safety in League One after losing 3-2 to Queen of the South in Dumfries on Tuesday night.

Despite the disappointing result, Bavidge says the team have already put it to the back of their minds and are focussed on Alloa.

He said: "As soon as the final whistle goes, we're focused on the next game.

"All good teams put their last game in the past, whether it's a win or a loss, and move forward.

"It's important that we put that behind us and try to put in another good performance on Saturday.

Bavidge is the son of former Caley Thistle forward Martin Bavidge who played for the club between 1998 and 2002. He played 96 times and scored 16 goals.

Alfie says he has offered him advice about Inverness both on and off the pitch.

He said: "He's actually mostly helped with out with advice on places to eat!

"No, but football-wise, he is always there when I need him.

"He's done that throughout my life and I am really grateful for that.”

But Bavidge is also grateful to how welcome his team-mates and management have made him feel.

"It's a big credit to my team-mates here and the manager - I would not have been able to do this without them.

"They have been really welcoming, and I could not have asked for a better start.”
