WATCH - Inverness athlete wins Nairn 10k for first time as a mother
JENNY Bannerman claimed the women's title at the Nairn 10k for the first time since becoming a mother.
The Inverness Harriers athlete cruised to victory once again and the seventh time in the last eight Nairn 10k events with a time of 36 minutes and 45 seconds.
It was the first time Bannerman has competed in the Nairn 10K since giving birth to her son George last year.
Amy Hudson was second in a time of 37:36 with Helen Leigh third in 38:37.
Bannerman was pleased to win the women's title so comfortably.
"I just had the baby in June last year and i'm just getting back to it," she said.
"It is my third 10k back, it wasn't any easier than my first 10k back, but it was good having George at the end to watch.

"I was probably a bit more relaxed than I was before, I knew I was going to run quicker than my last race. It was more enjoyable so it meant more.
"I am happy to get into 36, it was 10 years ago at this event I went under 37 minutes for the first time. Fast forward a decade and I am happy to be going under 37 minutes."
Kenny Wilson claimed victory in the men's race when he won in a time of 30 minutes and 51 seconds.
