Belladrum Seedlings' line-up revealed
EXCITING Scottish acts have been announced today for the XpoNorth Seedlings Stage at the sold out Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
The 2015 line-up highlights the talent making waves across Scotland and further afield and features one of Scotland’s hottest emerging acts KLOË who is also playing Radio 1’s Big Weekend, blistering duo Pinact, Dundee’s VLADIMIR, alternative folk act Nieves, along with Aylee, Catholic Action, Tijuana Bibles, The Weathermen, Bloodlines, Man of Moon, Monogram, Sara Bills and The Has-Beens, Garden of Elks, Gales, Poor Things, Crash Club, The Broken Ravens, The Mirror Trap, The Wood Burning Savages, Woodentooth, Sly At Last, The Bongo Club, and two further acts to be chosen by University of the Highlands & Islands and announced shortly.
XpoNorth Music project manager, Alex Smith, said: "Belladrum has established an excellent reputation for supporting exciting new talent from the Highlands and Islands and beyond, and we are delighted to be working with one of the most dynamic events on the festival calendar to produce the XpoNorth Seedlings Stage.
"The stage will feature a diverse selection of artists from our 2015 showcase list and we’re really excited to be presenting them to one of the most enthusiastic festival crowds in the country."
Belladrum founder Joe Gibbs said: "Searching out the next wave of exciting emerging bands and artists from Scotland - and the Highlands in particular - has always been an important part of Bella over the years, and we are delighted that our continuing relationship with the team at XpoNorth has yet again delivered an extremely strong and diverse line-up for 2015."
XpoNorth - formerly goNORTH - takes place over two days and nights in Inverness on Wednesday, June 10h and Thursday, June 11.
The work of XpoNorth in developing creative talent throughout the Highlands and islands of Scotland continues throughout the year. XpoNorth is funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and its director is former BBC drama producer, Amanda Millen.
