His documentary launches a special season called Discover The Cinema Of Childhood with 17 films Mark has chosen and they will be screened at Eden Court between April and September.

A Story Of Children And Film takes moments from 53 films from 25 countries including China, New Zealand and Russia to illustrate Mark’s ideas and it’s on from tomorrow (Friday) until next Thursday (April 24).

The film-maker will be doing a question and answer session after the special 3pm screening of A Story Of Children And Film on Saturday.

After Mark's film and QnA, you can see the first film of the Discover The Cinema Of Childhood season, Willow And Wind at 6pm.

Willow And Wind is an Iranian film by director Mohammad Ali Talebi, written by Abbas Kiarostami.

Film critic Peter Bradshaw has said it's "bizarre, other-worldly – and quite brilliant".

It starts with a school window that's been broken - and because the rain is getting in - the pupils can’t concentrate on their work.

The culprit isn’t allowed back into class until he mends it.

So he carries a large pane of glass by hand across the countryside in a gale.

The wind blows - but will he crack?

Willow And Wind sees young boy struggle to carry a pane of glass to school to mend the window he broke.

A Story Of Children And Film is the world’s first movie about kids in global cinema. It’s been called passionate, poetic and a portrait of the adventure of childhood. It’s a story of children and film and it has been seen as a landmark film and a celebration of both childhood and the movies.

Eden Court Cinema will be screening all 17 films in Mark's season and after Willow And Wind, next up will be Bag Of Rice (Saturday, May 10 at 11.30am and Monday, May 12 at 6.15pm) and Tomka And His Friends (Saturday, May 31 at 11.30am).
