Release: Wednesday 26 March

Starring: Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson

Synopsis: Steve Rogers (Captain America) returns to his home in Washington D.C. following the epic battle with The Avengers in New York. As Rogers continues to struggle to come to terms with modern life, he discovers that a new threat from the past puts the whole world at risk. Once again, Captain America joins forces with fellow member of S.H.I.E.L.D. the Black Widow and new associate the Falcon to protect the world, only to find themselves facing the Winter Soldier – an unexpected enemy from the past.

Why You Should See It: Captain America has always been kind of the rubbish one of the Avengers. Compared to the smug brilliance of Iron Man and the viking glory of Thor, a bygone relic of World War II-era propaganda just doesn't quite fit in. Yet his previous solo cinematic outing, Captain America: The First Avenger was surprisingly quite good. Since then, we've seen Marvel films go supernova with the utter brilliance that was The Avengers.

This sequel then should be interesting, particularly considering that this one sees him team up with the far more interesting Black Widow – played by apparent Movie Of The Week staple Scarlett Johansson, no less. Seriously, that's three films she's starred in that we've picked in the space of just over a month. I think I may have a problem...

Uh, anyway. This film will be great, and the culture-clash between 1940s Captain America and the hypermodern Black Widow will be fascinating. Go see it. Go see Scarlett Johansson. I mean, Captain America.
