Podcast puts family life in focus
BBC Sounds has commissioned a brand new parenting podcast, Go Ask Your Mother, presented by parents and partners, Vanel and Sindy.
The podcast will feature a mixture of humour and lively debates, tackling important conversations around raising their family whilst navigating memories of their own funny, challenging and sometimes very strict African upbringings.
Sindy is a 26 year old beauty therapist and Vanel, is a 29 year old youth worker and music producer.
Throughout the series, they will discuss a range of topics from lying to your kids, what age is appropriate to wear makeup, to bridging cultural differences.
In addition, they will have experts on some of the episodes to help discuss subjects such as mental health, sex and discipline.
The first full episode will be available to listen to on BBC Sounds, where they’ll be talking about their unique relationship story and what is was like introducing a pregnant Sindy to Vanel's family for the very first time.
Listeners can subscribe to Go Ask Your Mother on BBC Sounds where an introduction to the series is available.
The first full episode will be available on BBC Sounds on Wednesday July 15, with new episodes available to listen to every Wednesday.
