IT'S been just over 10 years since The View exploded out of Dundee, with singles like Wasted Little DJs and Superstar Tradesman storming into the charts, followed by debut album Hats Off To The Buskers entering the charts at number one and securing a Mercury nomination.

But with albums and significant dates since, the fanbase’s battle-cry “The View, The View, The View are on fire!” hasn't waned and now the band returns to the North of Scotland and to Orkney to recall earlier days and more intimate venues.

The Highland dates are: The Loft, Forres on Tuesday, September 19; The Assembly Rooms, Wick on Friday, September 20; The Nevis Centre, Fort William on Saturday, September 23.

Tickets are on sale from today (Monday) from www.beyondpresents.co.uk; www.ticketmaster.co.uk, www.seetickets.co.uk and in person from venues, Sound & Vision Elgin (Forres), McAllan’s Wick & Thurso (Wick) and The Flower Patch (Wick).
