Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is in Inverness to meet First Minister Nicola Sturgeon ahead of green freeport announcement
Inverness played host to the first face-to-face meeting in 2023 between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
The pair met in the Highlands during Mr Sunak's first visit to Scotland since becoming PM last October.
Mr Sunak is widely expected to announce that the Highlands will get one of the two green freeport bids tomorrow.

The Inverness and Cromarty Firth bid is widely expected to be named as one of the free trade zones and the Firth of Forth the other.
Tweeting about the meeting, he said: “It was great to be in Inverness today meeting rescue services and hearing more about the life-saving work they do every day.
“I also sat down with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to discuss the challenges we jointly face and how best to deliver for communities across the UK.”
Earlier in the day he visited the Inverness Coastguard Search & Rescue helicopter base next to Dalcross Airport alongside Scottish Secretary Alistair Jack.
And before that he met with some local Sea Scouts where he chatted and roasted marshmallows around a fire with some of the kids.
